October was a very busy month for us at the BCID! We hosted the BCID Annual General Meeting in the boardroom at the Peninsula Beverage Company on the 02nd of October where we gave feedback on the financial position of the company, showcased our successes over the last 12 months and then also proposed our budget and implementation plans for the 2104 – 2015 period that was accepted by the meeting by unanimous consent.
The documents relating to our Audited Financial Statements are available for download from our website at www.bcid.co.za under downloads. On the website we also have a collection of previous news articles and other information relevant to the Blackheath CID and the Industrial Area. A business directory listing all the local companies in alphabetical order and by location and also links to our partners in service delivery are also to be found here.
We have regular updates to our Facebook Pages; Happy Feet Crèche, Aphilayo Amanzi and the Blackheath City Improvement District.

At long last we see the maintenance of painted lines within the area and have good news regarding Rand and Range Roads. Rand Road will be rehabilitated and resurfaced in the next few months, during this financial year. The section of Range Road between Buttskop Road and Rand Road will also be rehabilitated and resurfaced. We look forward to continuing with the rehabilitation of Range Road in Bite-size sections over the next three financial years.
